Hey Adam, another great culture post, m'fren. Thanks for ramping up my excitement more for this film. Wright is a hell of a director and just the guy to do a film that wears its love for giallo on its bloody sleeve. Especially thanks for giving Blood and Black Lace a shout out. Those hyper-saturated colors reminded me of LNIS and that first kill in Bava's film is truly my benchmark for giallo. Of course, I'm betting Wright spent more on any one of his dolly shots than Bava did on the one in that scene, given that Bava used a child's little red wagon that happened to be on set that day, lol.
